The son of late Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin is the face of the Made for Down Under campaign

Robert Irwin has set tongues wagging by becoming the new, shirtless face of an Australian underwear campaign while revealing where he wants his next girlfriend to hail from.

21-year-old wildlife enthusiast Robert is the son of Steve Irwin, an Aussie zookeeper known affectionately as ‘The Crocodile Hunter’.

On September 4, 2006, Steve passed away after being stung in the chest by a stingray barb. His son was just shy of his third birthday.

In the years since his father’s death, Robert has stepped into Steve’s shoes, being involved with conservation efforts, working at the Australia Zoo, and he currently stars as the host of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here with Julia Morris.

Now, he’s added a new string to his bow—a topless model.

Robert Irwin’s risqué new photoshoot has caused a stir on social media (Bonds)

Robert has recently teamed up with Bonds, an underwear company that’s been operational since 1915, but is only just hitting the US market.

The campaign, aptly titled ‘Made for Down Under’, sees the celeb stripping down to his pants while posing with snakes, spiders, and other animals.

“Say g’day to our new brand icon, Robert Irwin, like you’ve never seen him before,” Bonds wrote on Instagram.

“Who better to rep comfy down under than the Aussie wildlife legend himself?

Naturally, the internet has gone wild for Bonds new brand icon, with one user typing: “Rob my wife is on Instagram, mate. Please.”

“I think my ice cream melted,” the official Baskin Robbins Australia account wrote.

“We thank you for your service,” said a third user.

The star has announced he wants his next partner to be an American (Bonds)

Someone else penned: “Calvin Klein gave me Jeremy Allen White and Bonds gives me Robert Irwin!!! GOD BLESS YOU FOR THIS!!!”

“Just got a noise complaint because I’ve been barking at phone over these pics,” typed another social media user.

Speaking about teaming up with Bonds for the campaign, Robert told People that he didn’t hesitate to say yes when the brand reached out.

“It was a pretty immediate yes,” he shared.

“I wish I could say I was very suave and cool about the whole thing, but I was like, ‘Yes! Let’s do it!’ Because Bonds in Australia is an absolute icon,” the new model continued.

Robert – who claims he is trying to do ‘as many different and random exciting things’ with his life – also admitted he’s open for love again a year on from splitting with Rorie Buckey, the niece of the late Batman actor Heath Ledger.

“I’m single. It’s funny, I’m at this point in my life where I’m like, I’m so open to that, but I’m just waiting for the stars to align,” he told People.

He also confessed he’d like to meet his next partner in a similar way that his parents got together.

Robert’s mum, Terri Irwin, is an American naturalist who visited Australia Zoo in 1991.

There, she met Steve, and it was reportedly ‘love at first sight’ according to the couple, who were married a year later.

“I’m waiting for that American tourist to come into the zoo and for it all to happen!”, Rob said.
