Hugh Jackman may be called to testify in the ongoing legal dispute between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni as the high-profile case heads toward trial.

Lively sued Baldoni in December, alleging sexual harassment and a hostile work environment during the production of their film It Ends With Us.

Baldoni responded with a $400 million countersuit against Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds.

All parties have denied the allegations. The case is set to go to trial on March 29, 2026.

Jackman, a longtime friend of Reynolds and his Deadpool & Wolverine co-star, could now be drawn into the dispute.

According to a source, Baldoni’s legal team intends to depose Jackman as part of their pre-trial discovery process.

“Hugh will be deposed if this goes to trial,” the source said.

“There is no way that he cannot. Baldoni’s legal team is doing everything they need to do to get a full scope of Ryan’s conduct during the time that It Ends With Us was filmed.”

“As Ryan’s good friend, who starred in Deadpool & Wolverine and was with Blake and Ryan many times in private during that time, his deposition will likely be crucial. They are not going to leave any stone unturned.”

Depositions allow attorneys to question witnesses under oath to help build their cases, though they do not guarantee a trial will take place.

Jackman’s involvement comes amid claims that Reynolds may have taken jabs at Baldoni in Deadpool & Wolverine.

The source noted that Jackman “helped promote It Ends With Us” and pointed out that Reynolds appeared to include “several not-so-subtle disses about Baldoni” in the Marvel film.

“It’s unlikely Hugh wasn’t aware of this,” the source said.

“Not only this, but Hugh helped promote It Ends With Us in the same way that Taylor [Swift] did when they did their group shot for the cross-promo with Deadpool.”

Jackman attended the New York City premiere of It Ends With Us alongside Reynolds, further linking him to the film’s promotional efforts.

Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, previously claimed on The Megyn Kelly Show that Reynolds’ character in Deadpool & Wolverine, named Nicepool, was a parody of Baldoni.

The character sported a man bun, similar to Baldoni’s past hairstyle, and had dialogue referencing social activism, another apparent nod to the actor.

“What Ryan Reynolds has seemingly done is use his power and influence … on Deadpool to make fun of Justin Baldoni,” Freedman said.

“There’s no question it relates to Justin. I mean, anybody that can watch that-the hair bun, the comment about the pregnancy-it’s pretty obvious what’s being done.”
