Fox News White House Correspondent Brian Glenn used his question during Friday’s press conference to compliment President Trump on his tie color.

Fox Reporter Brian Glenn sparked a wave of social media disgust when he praised President Donald Trump’s tie during his address from the Oval Office on Friday afternoon.

Trump was discussing the latest jobs report, where he repeated familiar false claims such as the US donating $350 million to Ukraine while Europe only contributed $100 million.

When questions were invited, Glenn, who is dating Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, enthusiastically complimented the president’s yellow tie, saying “nice tie by the way” Trump responded with “Thank you, I like yours too” turning to his right with a grin.

Social media users on X had a different opinion. One described the tie as “a putrid turmeric color.”

Another jibed, “Is he still making his ties in foreign countries?” A third quipped, “Is he wearing his Gumby shoes?”.

However, Glenn’s blatant sycophancy was highlighted by the question that followed his compliment: “Why is no other European country offering a peace deal except for you?”

The president seized this chance to criticize Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, stating that he “doesn’t have the cards” while lauding Russian President Vladimir Putin’s cooperation.

This marks the second time Glenn has subtly taken a jab at Ukraine. Last week, he appeared to criticize President Zelensky for not wearing a suit to the White House just before his heated exchange with Trump and Vice President JD Vance.

The president concluded a week of upheaval with the imposition of 25% tariffs on imports from Canada and Mexico, while slapping an additional 10% on Chinese goods.

His polarizing speech to Congress saw Rep. Al Green from Texas expelled from the House chamber for heckling Trump, who also halted military aid to Ukraine of billions of dollars.

In another contentious move, the president pushed a large-scale deportation effort criticized by FBI agents for drawing them away from their typical duties, resulting in arrests falling short of expectations, as reported by the New York Times.

Trump defended the tariffs as necessary due to other nations’ inadequate control of illicit fentanyl crossing the borders.

At a national town hall in China, leader Xi Jinping spoke concurrently with Trump’s Congressional address in Washington D. C., aimed at bolstering China’s status as an emerging tech giant.

In retaliation to Trump’s tariffs, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau lambasted the trade war as “dumb,” announcing Canada’s own tariffs on American imports totaling $100 billion set to roll out gradually over a three-week period.

The condition of the appears dire as Trump’s policies persist in undermining it.
