To which Travis admitted he’d been spinning some of her sadder tracks after the Chiefs lost the Super Bowl to the Philadelphia Eagles, noting, “Yeah, and how the Eagles broke my heart.”

But while Travis’ listening habits may be trending sadder than usual due to his recent Super Bowl loss, his admission that he loves his girlfriend’s discography is nothing new. Indeed, the NFL star is a vocal fan of the Eras Tour performer’s music.

“‘Blank Space’ is a song I’ll always listen to forever,” Travis gushed during a November episode of his podcast. “It’s just unbelievable—everything about it.”

The Chiefs player also noted that he “fell in love” with Lover’s “Death by a Thousand Cuts” after watching Taylor’s 2019 NPR Tiny Desk performance, also throwing out another evermore deep track as a favorite, “‘Cowboy Like Me’ is a good one.”

Of course, the Grotesquerie star had to give credit to Taylor’s latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, particularly the songs that are rumored to be about her relationship with him.

“I mean, ‘The Alchemy,’ you can’t go wrong with that one,” Travis added. “And ‘So High School,’ the feelings that that gives you.”

And given the otherwise sad themes of Tortured Poets, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Travis is playing that particular album following his team’s upset loss. Keep reading for a look back at their romance…
