Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid is not giving in when it comes to standing up for Taylor Swift. On a recent appearance on NFL on NBC, he spoke out against the criticism Swift received when she was booed during the Super Bowl in New Orleans on February 9.

Swift, attending the game to support her boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, became the subject of conversation, and Reid made sure everyone knew he supported her.

Andy Reid is all praises for Taylor Swift

Andy Reid only had positive things to say about Taylor Swift. In a Wednesday appearance on PFT Live with Mike Florio and Chris Simms, the Kansas City Chiefs head coach was talking about his team, and before long, Swift came up.

When she was mentioned, Reid wasn’t shy in singing the praises of the global superstar, who is dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

“She’s a good girl,” Reid said. “She handles that whole thing the right way. That’s a tough deal. She does a great job with handling it. [Kelce] I think does a great job of handling it. She’s part of the team. Like the other girlfriends and wives, they’re part of it.”
At the Super Bowl at Caesars Superdome—where the Kansas City Chiefs lost a hard-fought 22-40 match to the Philadelphia Eagles—Taylor Swift was under the limelight for reasons beyond cheering for the team.
In videos taken at the event, Swift was sitting alongside her Karma feature artist, Ice Spice, when the Jumbotron at the stadium zoomed in on her, pointing to the numerous A-list celebrities present at the event.
Yet as her face showed up on the giant screen, a wave of boos went through segments of the crowd and appeared to come from Eagles supporters.
Unlike the audience’s surprise reaction, 14-time Grammy award winner Swift was unfazed. Instead of reacting badly, she just shot a subtle side-eye and quick grimace before bursting out in laughter. Swift even mouthed, “What’s going on?” as she took the situation in her stride, shaking off the negativity with typical grace and humor.
Taylor Swift began appearing at Kansas City Chiefs games for the first time in early 2023, which pretty quickly established that she was dating star tight end Travis Kelce.
Her attendance at the games was one of the biggest storylines in the season, making headlines not only among football fans but also for the general entertainment industry.

She was present to see the Chiefs’ nail-biting win over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII, cheering with Kelce and the team.

With the Chiefs navigating toward another chance at a championship in Super Bowl LIX, Swift remained in staunch support, visiting important games as her touring schedule permitted.
Not only is Swift a spectator, but she is also an important part of the Chiefs’ larger family. According to remarks from head coach Andy Reid and multiple players, she’s not only a celebrity visitor but has actually been embraced by the team.
Reid has spoken highly of her, and players and fans alike enjoy her energy and enthusiasm. Cheering from a suite or celebrating wins with the team, Swift has become a familiar face in the Chiefs’ history, a welcomed addition to the organization.
