Without a doubt, Little Monsters knew that Mother Monster, Lady Gaga, was gonna feed us reaaaaaalllll good for her Coachella 2025 set. Ressurecting iconic bangers, such as “Scheiße” and “Judas”, alongisde her Mayhem era, fans were left gagged and the ignorant tossing up consipracy theories about Gaga’s hidden agenda….

Ahead of Gaga‘s set, her latest album, Mayhem, was tipped to be freaky AF. With it’s leading single “Disease”, followed by “Abracadabra”, it was evident that Mother Monster was sinking her claws back into her experimental roots to save pop music.

The sentiment of Mayhem and all of the freak-activities was echoed in Gaga‘s captivating Coachella set. From old to new bangers, nods to iconic moments of her career and hot, new looks, Gaga gave it to us allll!!!

Here are some of the best little monster reactions to Gaga’s Coachella set:

But of course, as I learned in Year 8 Visual Arts, art is bloody subjective and some folks have dug up the old devil worship and satan conspiracy theories shortly after Gaga performed.

For those who don’t understand these allegations let me paint you a picture.

It’s the late 2000s to early 2010s. Gaga jumped on the scene with FAME, which featured her break out track “Just Dance” and her most underrated song, “Eh, Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say)”.

From there, Gaga fostered a stellar music career packed with art performances, whacky stunts (think MTV Video Awards meat dress), music videos with a shit tonne of symbolism and outrageous rumours. With people not understanding her art — as well as reading to heavily into the symbolism of her music videos — folks accused the singer of devil worship and all that spooky stuff.

I vividly remember watching YouTube and seeing “subliminal messages in Lady Gaga’s music” videos and it would freak me TF out!!!!
Ugh, just iconic. (Image source: Kevin Winter/Getty Images)
It’s kinda similar to what happened to Lil Nas X. However, he made memes out of the allegations by literally lap dancing on Satan in his “Montero” music video.

But now, with the resurgence of these rumours via Gaga’s Coachella set, this can mean three things:

Pop music has been saved.
Recession indicator.
WE’RE SO BACK.

Regardless, the performance Gaga was undeniably, like that one guy said in White Chicks, “So revolutionary, so bold and so BRILLIANT”.

It’s also just a taste of what Australians can expect to taste when Mother Monsters finally heads Down Under in December.

That being said, if any of y’all yelled out devil worshipper and someone make it into the ticket line, I will summon Beelzebub and take your ticket!!!
