Denise Welch was left visibly emotional during Monday’s episode of Loose Women 

as the panel discussed the people who have been the biggest support in their lives.

Inspired by the recent Oscars, the ITV show’s presenters dressed in their most glamorous outfits

while reflecting on the importance of strong support systems.

As part of the discussion, host Ruth Langsford introduced the topic by referencing the prestigious Best Supporting Actor and Actress categories at the Academy Awards.

This prompted each panelist to share who they considered to be their greatest supporter.

When it was Denise’s turn, she did not hesitate to name her husband, Lincoln Townley.

Denise’s Heartfelt Tribute to Lincoln

Denise, who has been open about her personal struggles in the past, credited Lincoln as the person who has stood by her through everything. She emotionally revealed, “For a couple who met many years ago in a nightclub at six in the morning, that doesn’t open until four… we have come a long way.” She went on to highlight their shared journey towards sobriety, saying, “We got sober together. We’ve been sober for 13 years this year, and we’ve been married for 12. He is my rock and my best friend, and I couldn’t live without him.”

As she spoke, Denise became visibly overwhelmed with emotion. She momentarily stopped speaking as the studio audience erupted into applause, clearly moved by her heartfelt words. Her co-stars also showed their support, offering words of encouragement.

Ayda Field’s Emotional Tribute to Her Mother

Ayda’s mother has been battling cancer, and the  TV personality expressed her immense gratitude for the strength and love she has received from her.

Ayda shared, “My mum is here, and I’m very grateful that my mum is here. For anyone who watches the show regularly, you will have heard me talk about my mum and her battle with cancer right now.”

Fighting back tears, Ayda continued, “My mum has always been my best friend, my fiercest rock, my sounding board, my steady eddy, my bestie. As you get older, the roles kind of change in how you navigate.”

As she spoke, she noticed her mother getting emotional in the audience, which made Ayda herself tear up. She told her mum, “You’re going to make me cry as well!” Despite the emotional moment, she expressed how grateful she was for the lessons her mother continued to teach her, even while facing such a difficult battle.

Ayda then got up from her seat and walked towards the audience, embracing her mother in a heartwarming moment that left everyone touched. The audience once again applauded, and her fellow panelists were clearly moved by the touching display of love between mother and daughter.
