Karl and Peter Stefanovic have revealed quite a surprising career change, far away from the glare of television cameras.

The brothers, who host the Today Show, and Sky News show First Edition, were spotted at Sydney‘s Royal Easter Show on Saturday, extolling the virtues of almond milk.

The pair were seen offering revellers a taste test of almond milk from Griffith-based company Mandolé Orchard.

The reason for the surprising endorsement is that the company is owned by the third Stefanovic brother Tom, and his former fashion publicist wife Jenna Dinicola.

A video, shared to Mandolé Orchard on Saturday showed Karl happily schmoozing with show-goers while holding a tray of almond milk samples.

‘It’s so smooth, it’s like Nutella,’ Karl told potential buyers as Peter watched on, also holding shots of almond milk.

The pair went all in for their appearance, decking themselves out in Mandolé Orchard uniforms.

Another photo showed the three brothers together, clearly chuffed to be in each other’s company as they promoted the family business.

Ever the expert promoter, Karl was still holding the tray of almond milk samples in the pic, with Peter also joining in.

The cameo comes after Karl reportedly sent Channel Nine into ‘crisis talks’ due to an ‘unscheduled absence’ on Today ahead of Easter due to ‘personal family matters.’

Insiders told news.com.au earlier this month, Karl, who is due up to renegotiate his $3million-a-year contract with the network, had taken a second week off to handle ‘issues at home relating to his blended family’.

According to the publication, network bosses are said to have asked Sydney prime time sports reader James Bracey to fill-in for Stefanovic at the last minute.

However, Nine told Daily Mail Australia that Stefanovic would return to the show on April 7 after ‘scheduled leave’.

‘Karl is on scheduled leave after a busy start to the year and will be back on Monday, 7 April,’ a Nine spokesperson said in a statement.

Stefanovic shares daughter Harper, four, with his current wife Jasmine Yarbrough, and three other children—Willow, 20, Jackson, 25, and River, 18—with ex-wife, journalist Cassandra Thorburn.

The TV star and Yarbrough began dating in September 2016, just months after he separated from Thorburn following 21 years of marriage.

His divorce from Thorburn was finalised in October 2017, with the media personality proposing to Yarbrough just four months later in February 2018.

They married that same year in December in Mexico.
