EXCLUSIVE: MAFS Australia star Lucinda Light appeared on the 2024 season of the reality show and has opened up on the future of the social experient after 10 years.
Lucinda Light has addressed the future of Married at First Sight Australia after the latest season was hit by several leaks.
The holistic counsellor and marriage celebrant took part in the eleventh series of the hit reality show last year.
She was paired with Timothy Smith by the show’s experts during her time in the experiment but things unfortunately didn’t work out for the pair.
The twelfth season is currently airing in the UK and for the firs time in the show’s history, Eliot and Lauren, who were originally paired together, were allowed to re-enter the process with a different bride and groom after their marriage didn’t last past the honeymoon.

Speaking about whether or not she thinks participants should be allowed to be brought back into the experiment, Lucinda said: “I mean they did it twice over this year.
“I think to keep the franchise fresh they’re always trying to do new things or create twists. They are at the end of the day trying to make good television.
“Unfortunately this current year has had so many spoilers so nothing has been a surprise, which is a shame.”

Lucinda went on to reveal that she believes that by airing the Australian series in the UK at the same time as Down Under could prevent spoilers getting out.
The marriage celebrant said: “They’d be almost smart to play them at the same time. People are nosy and it’s all out there on social media so unless you’ve got really strong will power I think people jump on the socials and know what it’s all about before it plays out.”
Lucinda has released her book Shine Your Light
MAFS Australia first aired in 2015 and Lucinda is convinced the show will still be around for years to come.
She said: “I think people have an insatiable desire and appetite for MAFS and it seems to be a concept which has so many variables. Every year it surprises us and every year you got to expect the unexpected.
“Every season is so entirely different because of the different characters but who knows we’ll have to wait and see.”
Since her time in the experiment, Lucinda has released her book Shine Your Light and will host E4’s Honesty Box with Vicky Pattison later this year.
