Viewers believe the editors are making changes to the show to get around editing out the fifth farmer.

Farmer Wants A Wife fans have been left confused after they noticed the second episode featured a lot of what we had already seen in episode one. On Tuesday night, Farmer Thomas and Farmer Jarrad were shown trying to choose which women they’d bring back home to the farm, except we had already seen several of those same moments on Monday night.

Farmer Jarrad finding out that one of the women in his group could have been his cousin (she wasn’t) was also shown again, as was Farmer Thomas lifting one of his matches. And fans weren’t all that happy to rewatch so many scenes.

Countless viewers took to social media to share their confusion over the same scenes playing on both nights, with one person writing: “Have they just spent 20 minutes highlighting last night’s show? I feel like this is just a highlight package?”

“It definitely has repeated a lot of what was in last night’s episode,” another wrote.

“Yes, I was thinking the same – I saw this last night,” a third said.

“Yes, I thought I was going nuts,” someone else added.

“They’re doubling up on some stuff that was shown last night, I’d say that’s the weird editing after the 5th farmer was booted out,” one viewer speculated.

“Yep, whole show sucks,” another said. “Was six farmers, then five, now four, not worth watching, boring.”

“Yes I’m wondering why that too, so weird missing one farmer that’s why I guess…” a third agreed.

Fans have been left wondering why there are only four farmers this season, not the usual five.

Channel 7 initially announced eight potential farmers on social media last year, and although Yahoo Lifestyle understands it was always expected that this would be reduced to a smaller group, this is the first time in the show’s history that there have only been four people selected.

The first nine seasons starred six farmers, and recent seasons have starred five, with the exception of last year when Todd Melbourne was brought in to replace Dean Blanckensee partway through filming.

“Surely there’s a couple more than just four?” one person commented on social media, while another asked, “Why only four farmers?”

Others questioned the sudden disappearance of 26-year-old cattle farmer and professional bull rider Jack Rowlandson from Oberon, NSW, who was initially cast as one of this year’s leading men.

“Where is Farmer Jack?” one fan questioned, followed by someone else who asked, “What happened to Farmer Jack?”.

Channel 7 has confirmed in a statement to Yahoo Lifestyle that there were originally five farmers cast this season, but Jack Rowlandson’s scenes won’t be shown on TV.

“Eureka and Seven have decided not to include Jack Rowlandson’s storyline in the new season of Farmer Wants A Wife. We will not be providing any further comment,” they said.

Little is known about why Jack was removed from the show, however, there is speculation that it’s because he wasn’t ready to settle down.
