Fans have said the reality star looks ‘too cute’ in throwback snaps.

While he didn’t appear in too many episodes on this year’s season of Married At First Sight, Billy Belcher certainly made his mark in the experiment. The 31-year-old UK-born groom quickly emerged as a fan favourite thanks to his cheeky sense of humour and fierce loyalty, and has since become one of the most followed participants on social media.

Ahead of his much-anticipated return to MAFS in Sunday night’s reunion dinner party, throwback photos have emerged of Billy looking barely recognisable. The snaps were posted by popular Instagram account @mafsgossip and feature the reality star as a teenager without his signature tattoos.

The gallery also features Billy, who moved from England to Perth with his family 15 years ago, modelling in various locations around London.

The post has since racked up plenty of comments from fans saying Billy looks “adorable”, “gorgeous” and “sweet’.

“Oh my god! Stop it! Too cute,” one person wrote, while another added, “He does look like a model”.

“Hasn’t changed,” a third remarked, followed by someone else who said, “Aww he seems like such a nice guy”.

Others also pointed out that Billy has quite a few celebrity doppelgängers, including late One Direction singer Liam Payne.

“He looks like Liam from 1D in these,” a fan commented, with another agreeing, “I literally was about to say he looks like Liam from 1D everyone read my mind”.

“Omg does he look like the guy from What A Girl Wants,” a different user remarked, referring to teen heartthrob Oliver James, while someone else said he looks like Justin Berfield from Malcolm in the Middle.

Billy also received plenty of comments on social media throughout this year’s season of MAFS pointing out how similar he looks to Richard Gadd, best known for creating and starring in the 2024 Netflix series Baby Reindeer.

“Damn I saw a comment on TikTok saying he looks like the guy from Baby Reindeer. Cannot unsee it now,” a fan wrote, while another agreed, “He’s giving Richard Gadd vibes”.

Billy admitted to Yahoo Lifestyle at the time that he wasn’t surprised people thought he looked like Richard Gadd as he had heard it “quite a few times” before going on MAFS.

“When we had a [media] day with Channel Nine, they asked us, ‘Who’s your celebrity lookalike?’. And I was like, I don’t know, but I had a bit of a joke with it and I said, ‘Well, people have said I look like the guy from Baby Reindeer’,” he said.

“So I let that out and now everyone’s talking about it. It doesn’t phase me at all, you could be called worse things. I can’t see the comparison myself, but it’s actually quite funny.”
