They ended the 2022 season of Farmer Wants a Wife as a happy couple.

And now Farmer Will Simpson, 29, and his girlfriend Jess Cova, 27, are set to tie the knot.

The besotted pair announced their engagement in a joint social media post on Friday, writing: ‘Jess said yes! From farmer to fiancé! Our most special moment yet.’

The post included a gallery of snaps in which a delighted Jess could be seen flaunting an impressive engagement ring.

One picture featured Will giving his bride-to-be a romantic ‘dip’ while sharing a passionate kiss.

Another photo showed Jess gazing proudly at her sweetheart.

Well-wishers filled the message board on the post with congratulations.

‘Congrats Jess!! So happy for you,’ wrote one follower.

‘Over the moon for you both! Congratulations again lovers, let’s celebrate,’ added another friend, while a third said: ‘About time! Jessica and Will, Congratulations to such an awesome couple.’

The happy couple met during season 12 of Farmer Wants a Wife.

Will, a fourth generation crop farmer, fell for Jess during filming and declared his love for her during the 2022 season finale.

Jess later moved onto Will’s farm in Berriwillock, Victoria.

Originally from Queensland, Jess entered FWAW while working as a dental nurse.

On Wednesday, The Australian Women’s Weekly reported that the one time city girl has now settled into rural life and is working in nursing.

She has also joined the local netball team and works behind the bar at Will’s hometown pub.

Will had viewers on the edge of their seats during the FWAW finale as he was torn between Jess and Madi Simpson.

‘I came in with an open mind in regards to love and falling in love but yeah, I honestly didn’t think I’d get to the point that I’m at now,’ he said on camera.

After weighing down his feelings for both the ladies, Will realised that his heart belonged with Jess.

‘When I look forward to my future, I see you in it. I want you to be in it. I really am falling in love with you, and I want to give us a go and I really hope that you do as well,’ he said.

‘I do! Of course I do! Oh, I’m shaking!’ said Jess as she kissed Will.
