Disgraced radio star Marty Sheargold has suffered another blow to his career after his controversial comments about the Matildas and women’s sports earlier this year.
The former Triple M host, 53, was sensationally axed from the station after a ‘sexist and disgusting’ rant he made on the airwaves in February.
Now, it seems Sheargold may have also lost his long-running gig on the popular TV show Have You Been Paying Attention?
Tom Gleisner, who hosts the Logie-winning Ten series, told Confidential he wasn’t sure if Sheargold would be welcomed back to the show this year, but said he didn’t want to ‘upset’ people with his presence.
‘That is interesting. I don’t know whether Marty is going to be back this year,’ Gleisner, 62, said.
‘To be honest with you, we haven’t done our guest schedule but he has certainly upset a lot of people and we’d hate to add any distress to that so we’d have to think very carefully.’

Have You Been Paying Attention?, which features a panel of comedians answering questions about the new cycle, launched in 2013 and has won eight Logie Awards.
Sheargold was among the original talent cast on the game show, though it appears his long reign on the series may have come to an end.
Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Channel Ten for further comment.
The veteran presenter was sensationally axed following comments he made about the Matildas in February.
Triple M was faced with an advertiser boycott which threatened to cost the radio station an eye-watering amount of cash in the wake of his comments.
Following the Matildas recent loss to US team, Sheargold told listeners ‘there’s something wrong with the Matildas’ before he compared the team’s attitude to ‘Year 10 girls’.
He then suggestively asked whether superstar striker Sam Kerr and her fiancée Kristie Mewis ‘play the same position’.
His co-hosts tried to steer the discussion back to the team’s performance at the SheBelieves Cup.

‘She believes in what? It better be men,’ Marty said, before the conversation moved to Australia’s hosting of the women’s Asian Cup next year.
‘Oh god. The Asian Cup. I’d rather hammer a nail through the head of my penis than watch that. Got any men’s sport?’ Marty declared.
His outburst was described as ‘outrageous’ by interim Matildas coach Tom Sermanni, and there was an immediate backlash from sponsors wanting to distance themselves from the comments.
A campaign by an activist group with thousands of followers was launched shortly after the remarks went to air, and attempted to pressure three major advertisers to pull their slots from Sheargold’s show unless it ditched him.
Sheargold’s final show on Triple M saw him then make shocking remarks about endometriosis, a disease on the uterus which millions of Australian women suffer with.
‘God, don’t ladies carry on. Jesus Christ, there is no end of it. Honestly, endometriosis, and this is controversial. No, I’m going to say it, it’s controversial. It’s made-up,’ he said.
