The Married At First Sight experiment is officially over, so we thought it was about time we checked up on the brides and grooms!

What have they been doing since they waved goodbye to their MAFS journeys after the Reunion? It turns out a lot, actually!

First, it’s the experiment’s resident love birds!

Rhi celebrated the end of the experiment with a sweet message thanking everyone for their love and support.

“We’re beyond grateful for the friendships we’ve made, the memories we’ve shared, and the lessons we’ve learned along the way. It’s been a whirlwind of hard work, growth, and unforgettable moments and we still can’t quite believe how far we’ve come and are SO excited for this next chapter together!” she shared.

So, what IS next?

Good times, holidays and many more sweet couple selfies, we suspect!

Jeff posted a look at his and Rhi’s “first getaway post-experiment”, and it looks like they couldn’t have had more fun.

Travel is one of the big tests of a relationship, so we’re happy to report they passed with flying colours!

Awhina

Awhina did not find a “life partner” she was hoping for during the experiment, but she has come away with lifelong friendships.

“I went on MAFS searching for love and I found it,” she captioned a clip of her, Jamie and Beth dancing.

“Healing out loud.”

Awhina told 9Entertainment that rather than go out and party with the rest of their castmates after the Reunion aired, Awhina and Jamie instead just talked all night in their hotel room.

“We probably went to bed later than everyone else. We went back to our room, but Jamie and I have got an issue – we’re yappers,” she laughed.

“We hadn’t seen each other for a whole week. We’re in bed, lights are off, and we’re just like, ‘yap yap yap yap yap yap yap.’”

Awhina and Adrian’s relationship ended in a grey area after their confusing Final Vows, but now things are crystal clear.

In an interview with 9Entertainment, Awhina revealed that she and Adrian no longer speak to one another.

Despite maintaining a friendship when the experiment began airing, she realised that wasn’t what she wanted.

“That friendship didn’t serve me at all. It was all for him,” Awhina reflected.

“I’ve got a community behind me – I’m grounded, I’m back at work, I’m back with my family, friends, my son – I have this big, beautiful life and empathy for Adrian, but he doesn’t even deserve it, so I just I cut myself off from it.”

As for whether she is dating yet… not quite.

“I’ve been on the experiment to find a partner, which is really still my goal. I want to grow my family. I just needed this chapter closed so that I could actually do it properly, and I didn’t want to start anything off on the wrong foot,” she shared.

Carina

After Reunion, Carina was ready to move onto the next chapter.

“And just like that, this chapter has come to a close. What an unforgettable journey – I came into this experiment never watching it before, I truly surrendered and I am so thankful for all the highs and lows, but most importantly the lessons, personal growth and new friendships I gained along the way,” she shared.

Although her relationship with Paul ended brutally, Carina insisted to 9Entertainment that the pair were still civil.

“We’re mates. I’m friends with everyone in the experiment. I dislike having bad blood with anyone, but Paul and I are mates,” she explained their friendship now.

“We do check in with one another, just make sure that we’re both OK, because we obviously did go through this wild ride together.

“I just want to make sure that he’s all good and check-in on him occasionally, and vice versa. But yeah we’re just mates, as much as we can be.”

Jamie

Despite an emotional Reunion, Jamie left the experiment with her head held high.

Reflecting on the end of her relationship with Dave, Jamie had a message for “all [her] girlies”.

“A reminder to never settle for a man that simply doesn’t deserve you. Don’t stay just because of the good times, the fear of being alone or not finding someone better (you will). You deserve to have your needs met, you deserve for someone to show up for you and for someone to love all of you, literally all of you. You are never too much, they are simply not enough 🤍”

As for where Jamie and Dave stand now, the bride gave us an exclusive update…

Jamie and Dave

“Unfortunately Dave and I don’t speak anymore,” the 28-year-old told 9Entertainment in April 2025.

They had originally maintained a friendship, but Jamie chose to end that while the experiment aired.

“I think Dave and I both really wanted to keep everything amicable and have a relationship, and I’ve tended to always have good relationships with everyone I’ve been with in the past,” she said.

“Unfortunately when you have the opportunity to watch a relationship back and really see behaviour for what it is… I had to take a step back and say, ‘I need to respect myself, know my worth and I don’t believe everyone deserves to have access to me.’

“I can look at what I’m receiving in return from Dave and what I was receiving was a lacklustre friendship,” Jamie continued.

“Dave always had access to me even when he completely broke my heart on national television. I finally had to choose myself.”

Jacqui and Clint

Jacqui and Clint were not matched during the experiment, but they confirmed their relationship at the Reunion – and it was clearly very serious already!

Jacqui said she was ready to move to Tasmania to live with the groom, surprising the entire room.

Although some of their fellow participants were sceptical, it clearly worked, because as the reunion aired the couple had some even bigger news!

They’re engaged!

The duo unveiled the news while watching the Reunion live at a party hosted by So Dramatic! on Sunday evening in front of friends and fans.

“I wanted to have a conversation later, but we’ve got a room full of new friends… for what you’ve done on-screen, you’re an absolute star and you’ve been a star in my life,” Clint said to his partner in front of a room full of people.

“You’re amazing, and I know we signed up for MAFS to get married and find a life-long partner. So I’ve got one question for you,” he continued, with everyone in the room beginning to scream.

He then asked Jacqui to marry him.

Jacqui burst into tears and fell onto the chair in front of her, before screaming the word ‘yes’ and kissing him multiple times.

What a happy ending indeed!

MAFS 2025 Eliot

Eliot had one of the biggest turnarounds in MAFS history, going from a groom who skipped out on his first marriage after just days to fan-favourite after returning.

Although his marriage(s) in the experiment did not end well, Eliot’s not letting that get him down.

After returning to life on the Gold Coast, the groom shared a carousel of “life lately”, featuring him working on the tools and hanging out with his dog.

Beth

Things didn’t work out between Beth and husband Teejay, but the bubbly brunette had no regrets.

“I am so grateful I got to be apart of this journey. It’s been one of the best experiences of my life. Thank you to everyone who helped shaped me into the woman that walked out of the experiment. I’ve learned so much about myself and I feel so blessed that I now get to enjoy life with the amazing friends I made by my side,” Beth reflected after the Reunion.

Speaking of friends…

Looks like Beth is thriving with her friends from the experiment by her side!

Beth shared footage of herself, Jamie and Awhina getting ready together ahead of Reunion filming, captioning it: “No husband but I got 2 wives 💕”.

Then afterwards, she and Rhi had a sweet catch-up in Beth’s hometown of Brisbane.

Here’s to forever friends!

Teejay

Teejay shared a lengthy reflection on his time in the experience.

“Well, that’s all she wrote. Extremely grateful to have been part of this season of @Mafs. I learnt a lot about myself and it was not an easy thing to do, putting yourself out there is not an easy thing to do & marrying a stranger is not an easy thing to do.”

Although their relationship did not work out, Teejay had a special message for his ex-wife.

“To Beth, I’m sorry we couldn’t complete our journey the way we both intended on.

“You are a beautiful woman inside and out & regardless of our outcome, I’m glad it was you walking down the isle when I turned around on our wedding day.”

And of course, he signed off with his now signature catchphrase.

“Thanks for coming along for the ride, Darlings x”

Adrian

Adrian certainly ruffled feathers during the experiment, and he’s well aware of that.

“Being part of married at 1st sight was a life changing experience,” Adrian reflected after the Reunion.

“Looking back, I know I wasn’t always the best partner, and there are moments I wish I could do over. But through the highs and lows, I’ve learned so much about myself who I am, what I need to work on, and what I want to become.

“I’m truly grateful for this journey. It challenged me, humbled me, and ultimately helped me grow. One of the biggest blessings is knowing I can now show up better for myself, and for whoever I share my future with. I’ll carry these lessons with me and use them to become a better man and a better partner.”

Adrian also had a message for Awhina:

“Awhina, thank you. I genuinely wish you a future filled with abundance of love, happiness, and good health.”

Paul

Paul’s many mistakes throughout the experiment ultimately led to Carina ending their relationship at Final Vows.

After Reunion, Paul said he’d come away from the experiment with a fresh perspective.

“There were some amazing moments where I felt really connected and hopeful, and others that were tough where I struggled, made mistakes, and had to face some hard truths about myself.

“But that’s the thing about this kind of experience, it pushes you, teaches you, and helps you grow. I’ve definitely had my ups and downs, and I’m not perfect, but I’ve learned a lot along the way. I’ve owned my mistakes and come out of this stronger, more self-aware, and ready for whatever’s next. #MAFS

Clint

When Clint left with Lauren during the fifth Commitment Ceremony, they told the experts they would continue seeing each other in the outside world.

But that wasn’t the case when Clint returned home.

“Reflecting on my time in the experiment and some of the behaviours that [Lauren] demonstrated, I was just like, ‘You know what, I don’t think this is my person’,” he admitted in an interview with 9Entertainment.

He’s since gone back home to Tassie to enjoy his active life with his dogs.

The 43-year-old shared this mirror selfie on his social media.

“Clean shaven, dog walked, house work done ✅ Time for a hit of tennis in the Tassie sun,” he captioned.

Clint was happy to be back with his beloved dogs Nasa and Eski.

“Back home with the pups 🐾,” Clint captioned his first snap home.

“Speedy recovery for Nasa in her ACL surgery 🤍,” he added.

It seems that recovery journey includes all of Clint’s favourite things, like time in the sauna (jokingly, of course), hanging out at his in-home bar…

And a little golf sesh in the backyard!

Billy

Things didn’t work out between Billy and on-screen wife Sierah so he’s returned to be the resident single friend.

“Back to third wheeling with my faves,” he wrote alongside this picture with friends.

Since the experiment Billy also has had some exciting baby news….

He’s a godfather!

The groom took to his Instagram to share these adorable snaps of him and his adorable goddaughter.

“The Godfather. Love you baby Amalia,” he wrote.

The 31-year-old was back again for more baby cuddles and looked to be really in his element.

Aside from becoming a godfather, Billy has also returned to work since his time in the experiment came to an end.

Billy, who works as a plasterer, posted a video of what an average day at his job looks like.

“Work vibes,” he captioned the clip.

Despite things not working out with Sierah in the experiment, it appears he’s happy to get back to reality.

Eliot

Eliot left the experiment just two days into his honeymoon with Lauren, citing that they were the wrong match.

He shared this cute photo as he returned home to see his dogs, captioned: “Welcome home party 🐶.”

Little did he know here that he’d be back in the experiment soon after, getting a second shot at love with Veronica…
