Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 has been jam-packed with heartbreak and heartache, and unfortunately, it appears that friendships are not safe!

While the success rate of romantic relationships from MAFS is quite low, the show does birth some iconic friendships. A great example of this is Domenica Calarco and Ella Ding‘s friendship, which was beautiful before they had a falling out over a controversial interview that resulted in the end of their podcast, Sit With Us.

But now, it’s been rumoured that MAFS 2025 has suffered a friendship breakup… And the season hasn’t even finished yet!!!

According to insiders and sources who claim to be close to the MAFS 2025 cast, Billy Belcher and Dave Hand are no longer friends.

An anonymous source has claimed Billy and Dave’s bromance came to a halt after Billy started to do club appearances without his co-star, which broke a pact the pair reportedly made to do everything together.

“It seemed like Billy chose clout over friendship,” the insider told Daily Mail Australia.

“It’s a shock to all of us. They were so close, planning all these ventures.”

Another source told the publication that Billy was ready to “break all the rules” when it came to post-reality TV content, whereas Dave wanted to stick to his Channel Nine contract.

“Billy was ready to break all the rules and just cash in, where up until recently Dave wanted to follow Nine’s rules,” the insider dished.

Despite what sources have said about this golden bromance, Billy told the publication that he and Dave “are tight”.

However, when Dave was asked about the drama, the self-proclaimed gentle giant admitted he was on a “different” path from his co-star-turned-bestie.

The rumoured friendship breakup comes as a shock since the pair seemed to have such a cute friendship both on and off-screen. Heck, they even share an Instagram account, proving that their bromance was for realsies!!!

But like with most reality TV tea, it’s best to take it with a grain of salt. While both Dave and Billy have briefly commented on the rumoured friendship breakdown, neither of them has blatantly said it was donezo.

So until then, I’m gonna hold out hope for this MAFS bromance!
