Although Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 officially wrapped a week ago, it appears that the behind-the-scenes castmate drama is starting to unfold with Dave Hand pulling some subtle, shady social media moves.

ICYMI, MAFS 2025 came to a crashing end with a shit tonne of Reunion drama. We had Jacqui Burfoot and Clint Rice debuting their relationship, Awhina Rutene and Adrian Araouzou crashing out on each other and Sierah Swepstone attempting to chuck everyone “in the shit” — especially Awhina — for a cheeky leaked text.

While the show has ended for Aussies, MAFS 2025 has literally just kicked off in the UK, with our friends across the pond just catching up to all the debatchery we’ve been subjected to in the last two months.

With the show continuing to air in the UK, the MAFS 2025 cast aren’t supposed to have access to their social media accounts until next month — which is when MAFS is expected to end for them. However, self-proclaimed gentle giant Dave Hand was one of the castmates to claw back into his Instagram account.

Since gaining cheeky access to his Instagram account, the Victoria-based tradie’s posts have been quite sweet. He’s hosted some Q&As, posted updates on his dad and shared cute, cute piccies of his doggo, Willow.

But amongst all the wholesomeness, it appears that the groom has sent a subtle message regarding his time on MAFS with his IG following.

As first pointed out by Yahoo! Lifestyle, Dave has seemingly unfollowed a bunch of his co-stars, including his ‘wife’, Jamie Marinos.

Alongside his MAFS wifey, the publication noted that fellow MAFS 2025 co-stars Adrian, Sierah, Eliot Donovan and Veronica Cloherty — with whom he had cheating allegations during the show — have been unfollowed by Dave.

Hmmm, something smells like burnt BEEF to me!

Why did Dave Hand unfollow a bunch of his Married At First Sight co-stars?

Starting with the BIG ONE: Jamie.

For folks who didn’t follow the show, at the start of the season, Jamie and Dave were looking to be a MAFS success story. However, mid-way through the season, shit hit the fan when Jamie declared her love for Dave, who then admitted that he was unsure if he felt the same way.

Following that admission, Dave switched up on Jamie and pulled back on any affection towards his MAFS ‘wife’. Eventually, the bloke was called out on it, and he swore to fix it by giving their relationship a red-hot crack.

The pair eventually made it to Final Vows, where they agreed to continue their relationship beyond the show.

Unfortunately, when Reunion rolled around, it was revealed that the pair had split. While Jamie was extremely bitter over how their relationship ended, it seemed like it was an amicable split, with the couple interacting at the Dinner Party.

But after the Reunion episode aired, Jamie told PEDESTRIAN.TV that she and Dave were no longer in contact with each other.

“I’ve been in my hot girl single era,” she declared.

Although Jamie has been quite open and honest about where she stands with her MAFS-ex, Dave has been quite tight-lipped on all of it. He also hasn’t shared much on why he chose to unfollow his bride. But hey, with what Jamie told us, I believe that things turned quite sour after the reunion.

As for Veronica, she’s another MAFS 2025 participant who managed to sneak back onto their account. That being said, it appears that she has also unfollowed him back.

According to Yahoo! Lifestyle, the only person she follows from MAFS is Carina Mirabile.

The move is quite surprising as it appeared that she and Dave built a strong friendship during the couple swap week. Heck, the bond was so strong that she, Dave and Jamie had to come out and denounce the cheating rumours.

That being said, the 2025 intruder bride hadn’t said anything about her following list or her ‘yuge Instagram following purge.

Eliot’s unfollowing comes at no surprise because the way he and Jamie have been hanging out on social media… yeah. It makes sense. Also, everyone is shipping them together, I’d be burning if I were in Dave’s big shoes.

It’s not clear as to why Dave made all these sneaky, sneaky moves. However, it’s a clear indicator that he wants nothing to do with these co-stars.
At the time of writing, Dave has not revealed why he went on this following purge. But if he hosts another Ask Me Anything, I know what question I’m lodging.
