Love is certainly in the air.

MAFS couple Jamie and Dave after their final vows

Jamie and Dave captured our attention from the very beginning, and we can see that despite the turmoil they faced, the Married At First Sight Australia relationship experts were right in pairing the two.

At final vows, the pair chose to commit to one another after three months of ups and downs.

“Jamie, the moment I saw you walking down the aisle my heart jumped out of my chest,” Dave began.

“Through all of this, you’ve become one of the closest people to me in my life, I came here looking for something that could last, something worth holding on to and with you, I believe that’s possible, so today I choose us.

“Whatever comes next, I’m ready if you are,” Dave finished.

Jamie began her vows with uncertainty, sharing her hurt on finding out Dave’s feelings were not progressing, “I questioned my relationship, you as a person and even myself.”

“I deserve to be loved Dave and I just don’t know if I’m willing to wait to see if you can get there too”, she continued.

“I also know that I’m not ready to walk away from this or from you. So yes, I do want to take this relationship to beyond the experiment because I don’t think it’s the end of our story.

“In fact it may just be the beginning.” Jamie finished.

The pair have spoken to Nine Entertainment, with Dave sharing, “The bond Jamie and I have is super special and super respectful. Final Vows is exactly how I felt, and it was super, super special to keep us alive.”

“I love who she is, and I love the way she holds herself,” Dave continued.

We will be seeing the pair at the reunion, maybe with some potential love in the air!

Being 6ft6” and covered in tattoos, Dave is often misjudged – but this gentle giant has a soft side! Dave is a 36-year-old Builder from Victoria who has been matched with 28-year-old Account Manager, Jamie also from Victoria.

When walking down the aisle to meet the stranger that would soon become her husband, Jamie didn’t even give Dave the opportunity to turn around before becoming thrilled by his neck tattoos.

“Sold!” Jamie said.

Jamie wasn’t the only one gushing over her new partner’s height, tattoos, teeth and physic, as Dave complimented her eyes, energy and her fluorescent nails.

Their instant connection continued to the wedding reception. No topic was off-limits as they even agreed on the number of children they wanted – “two boys and one girl.”

Even their mother’s were getting “goose bumps” from watching them connect.

The pair got on so naturally, that Dave’s speech was the only emotional part of the wedding.

Unfortunately not in attendance at the wedding was Dave’s step-mother and his dad, who was undergoing his fourth round of chemotherapy.

“With my dad not being here today, I realise how important he is,” Dave’s speech began. “Dad means the world to me. He has raised me to be this big, kind, gentleman he is today.”

Thankfully for viewers, their connection wasn’t just due to a wedding-glow. It continued to grow over the honeymoon, moving in together and their very first dinner party where Jamie wasn’t afraid to cause conflict with fellow participant, Tim.

During the first challenge on MAFS, it became clear that Dave and Jamie truly cared for each other. We even spotted a little green-eye jealousy between the pair. In the challenge, the pair asked each other about their exes, to which was of no interest to either parties.

“You care, that means you care about me,” Jamie said, while Dave got all flustered.

While he never gave up his feelings for her, Dave admits to the camera crew: “I really like her. She makes me laugh, she keeps me on my toes… she’s everything. Don’t tell her I said this.”

But since then, it seems Dave’s feelings for Jamie have halted. During the MAFS Couple’s Retreat, Jamie revealed she said those three words, ‘I love you’ to Dave, however, he didn’t return the sentiment.

“This experiment, we’ve really done it properly, we have. And you can do it properly and not fall in love,” Dave said in the following commitment ceremony.

During Couple Swap Week, Jamie’s anxiety regarding her relationship’s progression deepened as Adrian questioned Dave’s feelings given he wouldn’t initiate physical intimacy.

After dodging Jamie’s questions regarding his true feelings, Dave eventually agreed he wasn’t in the love stage.

“I’m not there yet. You said you love me six weeks into this, I’m not there yet,” he said.

Following this admission, Jamie confided in the camera crew, saying, “This is the first time in the MAFS experiment where I’ve questioned whether Dave and I will work. We might not be able to come back from that.”

Billy and Dave’s TikTok account

Well, Dave has started a TikTok account with his MAFS bestie Billy. Eagle-eyed fans couldn’t help but notice Dave sporting his wedding ring in their most recent video (pictured above). The video captioned “boys night” was the second video to be shared onto the account, featuring the besties walking around Sydney Harbour.

Unfortunately, given they wrapped up filming months ago, there’s no way of telling if they filmed this video recently or during the experiment.

Married At First Sight Australia screens 7pm Sunday to Wednesday on Three and streams on ThreeNow.
