How did Guy Sebastian and his wife meet?

Guy Sebastian and Jules Sebastian (née Egan) first met at a church group when they were young teenagers.

The two quickly became friends and a few years later, when Guy was 18 and Jules was 20, things turned romantic.

However, just before Guy auditioned for Australian Idol in 2003, Jules broke up with him.

“She broke up with me, and then Idol happened, and I moved to Sydney, and I didn’t think we’d get back together. I wasn’t sure,” Guy told Sunrise in 2023.

Ultimately though, Guy and Jules did get back together.

“You live a little bit of life, then you realise, ‘Oh, my gosh, [we] had so much history. She always loved me for me.’ She’s always been the same.”

The couple got engaged in late 2007 and tied the knot on May 17, 2008.

In May 2024, Guy and Jules celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary.
