Many Farmer Wants A Wife viewers don’t think someone who doesn’t own their own farm should be on the show.

Farmer Wants A Wife fans have been confused after discovering one of this year’s stars isn’t “a real farmer”. Farmer Jarrad Wrigley shared on the show this week that he doesn’t own a farm and is a farmhand, but hopes to eventually buy back his great-grandfather’s farm at some point in the future.
The 21-year-old from Stanthorpe, Queensland, says he hopes to find “the one” on the show, but many viewers argue that he is too young to be trying to find love on the show. Many also believe he might have joined the show to boost his music career.
Farmer Wants A Wife fans claim Jarrad isn’t on the show for the right reasons

Despite sharing his intentions to find a wife on the show and being described as “one of the nicest blokes you’d ever meet” by some, Jarrad, a country musician, is being slammed online by fans who believe the only thing he wants to find on the show is a music deal.
“I think he was supposed to apply for Australian Idol cause his looking for a recording deal not a wife,” one Facebook user wrote.
“So he doesn’t come from a farming back ground… He doesn’t own a farm… and wants to buy back his great-grandfather’s property from 30 years ago… Is he even a farmer?” another questioned. “Or just a guy who sings country and western?”
“He’s only there for exposure for his music career,” a third speculated.
“I think maybe he’s hoping for a record deal,” someone else claimed. “Wrong show buddy.”
“Seems like a nice person but it’s definitely looking like he’s promoting his music,” another wrote.
Others defended Farmer Jarrad, with one person hitting back, “It’s called Farmer Wants A Wife and he works as a farmer? Doesn’t say Man Who Owns A Farm Wants Wife.”
“It’s entirely possible to be a farmer and to be into music, we don’t need to pigeonhole people so rigidly,” another agreed.
Some added that a music career might be helpful for him, with one person writing, “Get that music career going and you’ll get your farm.”
“Aussie Morgan Waller? I’m loving him,” another said.
“Spitting image of Kayce from Yellowstone,” someone else suggested, while another agreed, writing, “Any one else think he looks like that guy on Yellowstone? Or just me?”
