Married at First Sight’s Adrian Araouzou has been busted attempting to organise a “wife swap” with Sierah Swepstone as his web of lies was exposed during the explosive season finale.

Married at First Sight’s Adrian Araouzou’s web of lies was exposed during Monday evening’s explosive episode finale, as his attempt to organise a wife swap behind bride Awhina Runtene’s back shocked the group.

Adrian and Awhina, both 30, took to the couch before the experts and their fellow cast members for the final time, where they looked back on their controversial nine-week relationship in a highlights video.

A clip showed the fallout from Adrian and Sierah’s off-camera dinner with groom Tony Mojanovski, 53, during the first weekend of the experiment.

As tensions ran high, Adrian appeared to suggest he could easily “steal” Sierah from her 31-year-old ‘groom’ Billy Belcher, during a vox-pop at one of the dinner parties.

“What do you think I’m going to do? Steal your wife or something? I mean, I’m only human, right?” the E-commerce business owner said.

Adrian was then seen venting to Sierah and Tony about the group’s disapproval of their rendezvous together.

“We should just do that wife swap and see if they like it tomorrow,” he told Sierah, adding, “We should do it.”

His comments shocked the group who gasped, while Jamie Marinos turned to her on-screen husband, Dave Hand, and said, “This is insane.”

The bombshell comes after Sierah, in a series of text messages exposed after she left the experiment, told Adrian that “the wife swap thing would have been a good idea”.

“For context, Awhina had said those things to me about Adrian, and she said she wanted to leave,” Sierah said to the group, referring to Awhina allegedly calling her ‘husband’ “dumb” and saying he “couldn’t spell.”

“So she said that her type was actually a tattooed tradie from Perth, and I go ‘Well, that’s Billy,’ and then I said, ‘Well, maybe the wife swap was a great idea, and we should come back (into the experiment) together’.”

Elsewhere in the clip, Adrian is exposed for lying to Awhina about having never cheated on a partner.

Despite telling her he was loyal, he changed his tune when speaking to a producer.

“Yeah, I might have; I might have hooked up with another girl,” Adrian said.

Further, during the final task, he was caught flirting with his ‘backup’ match, Maxi, and admitted she was his “type”.

“Is Max someone I would hang out with? Probably, She’s Awhina 2.0,” he said, prompting shocked reactions from the other brides and grooms.

Awhina was visibly tearful as she watched his lies be exposed.

The mother-of-one told the experts she knew her relationship with Adrian was doomed to fail and that it was purely physical after they both agreed to continue their romance at Final Vows.

“The moment I landed in Perth, that answer smacked me in the face that that was a ‘no’ and that’s the truth,” she said.

Adrian apologised for failing to make her “feel wanted.”

“I’m sorry I didn’t bring out the best in you. I know for a fact, in time, she’s gonna meet that person who does. And as much as it sucks, it wasn’t me,” he said, bringing their journey to a final close.
