Australian Survivor fans are fuming over Monday’s final episode that saw 23-year-old Myles Kuah narrowly claim victory.
The Sydneysider was crowned sole survivor over 27-year-old rival Kaelen Lockhart, in a showdown that culminated in a nail-biting decision by a jury of their peers.
But as Myles walked away with $500,000 in prize money fans took to social media saying they felt let down because the season did not end in a ‘reunion’ episode.
‘Anyone else wish that they brought back the reunion shows and announced the winner there?’ one Reddit user moaned over the format change.
They continued: ‘The show should be treated as a spectacle and you could go over every part of the game.’
‘Yes. I was eager to watch a reunion,’ added another fan.

‘I wish we had that like the US version, would be so good to hear everyone’s take on the game.’
At one time Australian Survivor regularly featured a reunion episode as part part of the format, in which cast members unwrapped their high and lows of the season.
But Aussie viewers have not see a reunion on the local iteration of the show since 2020.
Fans are now saying that the way the series is formatted it feels like an anti climax.
‘It feels so empty. It’s like the last chapter has been torn off the book and you just have to deal with an unsatisfying ending,’ a viewer posted on Reddit.
‘Why would they stop doing them? It’s such an anticlimax,’ added another fan.
Meanwhile, Reddit users appeared to throw their support behind Myles nail-biting win.
The final challenge pushed the finalists to their physical limits as they were forced to balance barefoot on sharp, narrow bamboo pegs for an agonising three hours.
Myles walked away with $500,000 in prize money
Myles clinched the title with a bold game that saw him dodge elimination multiple times, thanks to his knack for sniffing out hidden idols and making high-risk plays.
His chaotic, unpredictable gameplay earned him the nickname ‘Jungle Rat’ – and also won him the respect of the jury and, ultimately, the $500,000 grand prize.
During the last tribal council, both finalists presented their argument as to why they should not be voted off the island.
Myles highlighted his strategic acumen and ability to adapt, while Kaelen defended his gameplay philosophy focused on incremental gains and teamwork.
In a decisive vote count, Myles secured seven jury votes compared to Kaelen’s one, cementing his victory and the coveted prize.
The financial analyst appeared lost for words and simply screamed out ‘woohoo’ in joy at his victory.
