It doesn’t appear as though Jamie Marinos and Dave Thomas Hand will be repairing their friendship anytime soon.

MAFS’ Dave Thomas Hand has made quite a bold move on social media following his split from Jamie Marinos.

After appearing as one of the most loved-up couples on this year’s season of Married At First Sight, Jamie Marinos and Dave Thomas Hand shocked viewers at the reunion when they announced they were no longer together. The fan favourites explained that they had called it quits shortly after filming Final Vows, but seemed amicable as they sat on the couch with the experts and reflected on their relationship.

Things appear to have taken a turn for the worse over the past week as Dave has made quite a bold statement on social media. Eagle-eyed fans have noticed that the self-proclaimed ‘big friendly giant’ has unfollowed his ex on Instagram.

Dave is currently one of only two MAFS participants who have somehow managed to log back into his Instagram account, with the rest of the cast regaining access when the show finishes airing in the UK next month.

The 36-year-old has since shared a series of snaps and videos from life outside the experiment and cleared out his ‘following’ list. In addition to Jamie, Dave has recently unfollowed Eliot Donovan, Adrian Araouzou, Sierah Swepstone, and Veronica Cloherty.

Has Jamie unfollowed Dave?

Jamie is still currently following Dave on Instagram as she doesn’t regain access to her account for a few more weeks and therefore has no control over who she is following. Channel Nine ensures the cast follow each other on social media while the show airs on TV, regardless of any feuds, breakups or falling outs that may have occurred.

Although she still follows him, Jamie recently revealed to Yahoo Lifestyle that she and Dave are no longer on speaking terms.

“Dave was really big on, ‘I don’t want to lose you and I don’t want to lose this friendship’. I truly believe that he really wanted me in his life, but he did kind of ghost me a bit after reunion,” she revealed.

“I was contacting him. I was like, ‘You’re the one that was really keen on having me in your life’. When I called him out on it, we kind of got to a better place, but he had made no effort to see me. We did see each other for dinner once, but the friendship just dissipated.”

She also said she would have loved to have had “a really good friendship with Dave”, but she found it hard to excuse his behaviour after watching the show.

“I think he needs to collect his peace, I need to collect my peace, and ultimately, we need to be out of each other’s lives,” she added.

Why did Dave unfollow Veronica?

Meanwhile, it appears Dave and Veronica have also cut ties since filming the show last year. The duo seemed to have a close friendship in the experiment after being paired together in the Partner Swap challenge, and even sat next to each other at the reunion dinner party.

Veronica also regained access to her Instagram account around the same time as Dave, with fans speculating they helped each other log back in. However, Veronica has recently taken time to clear out her ‘following’ list and has unfollowed everyone in the cast except Carina Mirabile.

Her co-stars – as well as the official MAFS account – also appear to no longer follow her, which suggests Veronica may have blocked them.
