Perth teenager Gisella Colletti is just hours from learning her fate as she chases WA’s first ever Australian Idol crown.

Pitted against 17-year-old Iilysh Retallick from NSW and 19-year-old Marshall Hamburger from Queensland, the Corpus Christi College student will be hoping her home State rallies behind her ahead of the potentially life-changing moment.
Fans of the 17-year-old are encouraged to vote for her to win up to 10 times by texting 0457 500 700 ‘Gisella’ until 5pm tonight.
Leaving nothing to chance, the young songstress urged West Australians to get texting over the weekend.

“There has never been a Aussie Idol from #Perth #WA or a female winner since the Australian Idol Reboot in 2023. Help me bring the #australianidol title home to WA in 2025,” Colletti wrote on social media.
And even the Premier has joined her fan club.
“Western Australians are so proud of Gisella Colletti and of what she’s achieved so far. It’s great to see her showing those over east how it’s done,” Premier Roger Cook told PerthNow.
“Gisella is an amazing talent, and it would be fantastic to see her cap off her remarkable performances with a win.
“I’d urge everyone to get behind her and vote — to help her become WA’s first Australian Idol.”
On Sunday night, the youngster belted out Whitney Houston’s How Will I Know, dazzling in a sparkling pink skirt with a matching halter-neck shirt and pink studded calf length boots.
She backed it up in a duet with Australian music royalty Tina Arena, with the pair singing Heaven Help My Heart, which led to a standing ovation from the judges.
Colletti’s Bateman-based high school has “Gisella-fied” its walls and offices, with the school’s bells ringing out her familiar songs on Monday.
The singer’s family and friends have invited fans to a watching party at The Victoria Park Hotel on Monday night to cheer her on from the other side of the country.
The winner will receive $100,000 prize in prize money and a studio contract.
