What channel is The Floor on in Australia?

The Floor Australia airs on Channel 9 and is also available via their free streaming service 9now.

Who is hosting The Floor in Australia?

Australian actor and TV personality Rodger Corser – of Doctor Doctor and The Traitors Australia fame – is the host.

How does the game show work? 

81 contestants begin with a single tile on a giant digital floor, each representing a specific category.

The goal is to conquer neighbouring tiles through head-to-head trivia battles called “duels.”

When selected by the randomiser, a contestant doesn’t compete in their own category but chooses which neighbouring opponent to challenge in their category.

The winner of the duel claims the opponent’s tile, their territory, and their category. The loser is eliminated from the game.

Each night, the contestant with the most tiles wins a $10,000 bonus.

And as the competition continues, the floor will shrink and the stakes will grow – ultimately, one person will control the entire floor.

Do the people on The Floor pick their category?

An alleged former The Floor contestant claimed on Reddit that all of the contestants tell producers what subjects they’re knowledgeable in.

Then, after this conversation, the producers create/pick the categories.

Of course, there’s no way to verify this claim so take it with a grain of salt!
