Katie Price was scheduled to appear in court today for yet another bankruptcy hearing, but the former glamour model failed to attend. 

The 46-year-old, who has been declared bankrupt twice, was expected to face further questioning over her financial affairs at a public examination.

The latest hearing took place at the Rolls Building in London, where she was set to provide details regarding her outstanding debts, particularly an unpaid tax bill exceeding £760,000.

However, despite being required to appear, Katie was noticeably absent from the proceedings.

A History of Financial Turmoil

Once one of the UK’s most recognizable media personalities, Katie Price built an impressive career that included modeling, reality  television, book deals, and various business ventures.

At her peak, she was estimated to be worth around £45 million. However, a combination of high spending, costly legal battles,

and financial mismanagement led to her first bankruptcy declaration in 2019.

At the time, she owed approximately £3.2 million, with a significant portion of her earnings reportedly spent on lavish lifestyles for her ex-partners and mounting legal expenses. Despite efforts to turn her financial situation around, Katie’s monetary troubles continued.

In March 2024, she was declared bankrupt for a second time—this time due to her failure to pay a hefty tax bill. As a result, the High Court ruled that she would be required to forfeit a significant portion of her monthly earnings to pay off her debts.

Earnings Under Scrutiny

As part of the court’s decision, multiple income streams were identified, and specific companies were ordered to deduct a portion of Katie’s earnings. Judge Catherine Burton ruled that four companies—including the adult-only subscription platform OnlyFans and the photographic agency Backgrid—must withhold 40% of her income each month for the next three years.

This decision ensures that a portion of her revenue goes directly towards settling her outstanding debts. With Katie’s financial affairs closely monitored by the court, any additional income she generates will likely be scrutinized to determine how it should be allocated.

Court Decision: One Bankruptcy Discharged, Another Postponed

During today’s hearing, it was confirmed that one of Katie’s bankruptcies has been discharged. However, her second bankruptcy case, which stems from the unpaid tax bill, has been adjourned until April 8. This means she will still be required to provide financial disclosures in the coming months as the case progresses.

Last year, Katie’s hearing was previously postponed to allow her to participate in a “private interview” with the trustee managing her bankruptcy estates. These private discussions are often held to assess an individual’s financial position and determine potential repayment plans.
