Here’s why fans are convinced.
The MasterChef Australia competition may only just be starting to simmer, but this year’s returning chefs are already cooking their way to a triumphant kitchen comeback.
Alongside judges Poh Ling Yeow, Andy Allen, Sofia Levin, and Jean-Christophe Novelli, the 24 all-star contestants have taken to their benches at MasterChef HQ for their second (or third) chance at securing the $250,000 grand prize, and with a high-stakes immunity challenge under their belts, the kitchen alumni have continued to take the competition to another level.
We may still be weeks out from the final cook-off, but thanks to the franchise’s loyal legion of foodies, some fans believe they may have already uncovered who takes home the crown.

Has the MasterChef Australia 2025 winner leaked?
Given the finale has not aired at this point, we don’t know for certain who will take home the win, however, fans have already tipped Season 6 and 12 contestant Laura Sharrad as the 2025 MasterChef Australia winner.
In classic Reddit fashion, fans of the show did a deep dive into one of the early promotional teasers for the season, and given that every other contestant pictured appeared on the show after Season 11, some have already concluded that she may be this year’s top chef.
“Considering that Laura is the only pictured contestant before Season 11, do you think she wins, or do you think that the winner is not pictured?” wrote one fan, with another replying, “It’s interesting that those [contestants] are the ones chosen for [the promotional material]. I do think, just based on the trailers, it seems like Laura and Darrsh are the main characters so far.”

As well as tipping Laura as the winner, viewers also commented whether the series’ storylines didn’t adequately feature all of the contestants, with one fan writing, “They also focus on some people disproportionately and they are the one moving ahead, like last time how thy launched promos in the beginning just for the ones who made it to the final stages.”
While we won’t know for certain who takes home the crown until the winner is revealed, we’ll be sure to keep an eye out for any clues!
