Television favourites Natalie Barr and Larry Emdur have joined a star-studded lineup of celebrities in celebrating the record-breaking success of Channel Seven‘s Good Friday Appeal.
The annual telethon appeal raised an eye-watering $23.8 million this year for The Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne.
The star-studded charity event featured breakfast TV show stars Larry Emdur and Natalie Barr, in addition to 7NEWS Melbourne’s Peter Mitchell, Rebecca Maddern and Mike Amor.
It captured the hearts of Aussies once again, with viewers from across the nation tuning in on Seven Melbourne and live via 7plus to donate generously to a worthy cause.
The final total was a jaw-dropping $23,822,792, which marked the biggest fundraising tally in the Appeal’s 68-year history.
TV stars Larry Emdur, 60, and Natalie Barr, 57, took to social media to thank the Australian community for their enormous support.

‘It’s a NEW RECORD! Wow! what an awesome night… I’m so proud to be a tiny tiny part of this incredible event,’ Larry wrote.
‘So much heart, so much soul, so much love and so much money. HUGE Thank you to every single person and company who donated and supported.’
Meanwhile, Larry’s The Morning Show co-host Kylie Gillies added: ‘Amazing result’.
‘Congratulations everyone! We did it. A record for @goodfridayappeal,’ Natalie shared, alongside a gallery of photos from the event.
Larry also shared a photo of him visiting the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne and captioned it with some heartwarming words.
‘This is why I want to be involved with the Good Friday Appeal. Just two of the incredible humans I met today,’ Larry began.
‘Emily was a patient here when she was 14, she was so deeply moved by the attention, support, love and care she received from the nursing staff that she decided to become a nurse, to spread the love and the care, pay it forward.
‘Incredible, beautiful and inspiring.’

Many A-List stars attended the event to show their support to the wider community.
This included 2025 Australian Idol winner Marshall Hamburger, Beetlejuice the Musical’s Eddie Perfect and The Voice Australia star Robbie Dolan.
The night also featured edge-of-your-seat thrills from Nitro Circus, a hilarious ‘What’s In The Box?’ segment, and some adorable animal antics courtesy of Wildlife Xposure.
‘The Seven Network is incredibly proud to support the Good Friday Appeal, an event that is close to the hearts of all Victorians,’ Seven’s Victorian Managing Director and Sales Director, Peter Charles said in a statement.
The amount raised is almost $500,000 more than the $23,368,724 the appeal made last year, which was record-breaking at the time.
