The veteran presenter, 39, confirmed the news on-air to his co-star Aaron Woods and told him he had gotten a special fill-in presenter to take over his role.

‘I’m jetting off for a bit, taking off to do The Amazing Race,’ Beau told Woodsy, who then asked who would be filling in for him in the interim.

‘Great question. [News reporter] Cat Lynch and I have had a couple of great conversations, we have a great fill-in!’ Beau said.

He added they wouldn’t reveal the presenter’s identity just yet to keep the mystery.

‘He’s good, fun and he actually really loves you Woodsy. It is exciting and he is going to bring plenty of energy,’ he said.

Beau has hosted The Amazing Race Australia since it premiered on Channel Ten in 2019, five years after Channel Seven cancelled the series.

The Amazing Race Australia 2025 will screen on Channel Ten later this year.
