Among the familiar faces was former AFL player Brendan Fevola, 44, and his 18-year-old daughter Leni.
On Friday, Brendan, known for his previous reality TV triumphs, including a victory on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Australia, announced his temporary departure from his radio show to join the race.
Joining them was culinary expert Melissa Leong, former judge on MasterChef Australia and current host of Dessert Masters.
Aussie power couple Rob Mills, a seasoned performer from his Australian Idol days, and his The Project star partner Georgie Tunny, were also spotted at the airport.
Comedian Ed Kavalee, famed for his wit on Have You Been Paying Attention?, and his fitness guru wife Tiffiny Hall, a former coach on The Biggest Loser Australia, were also seen embarking on the adventure together.
New Zealand star Aesha Scott, known for her stints on Below Deck Down Under and I’m A Celebrity, was spotted alongside her partner Scott Dobson, further fueling speculation about the diverse cast.
Even original Big Brother host Gretel Killeen was seen at the airport, as she joins the cast of 13 teams competing to win $100,000 for their chosen charity.
It comes after Triple M breakfast star Beau Ryan announced on Friday he will be going on leave for several weeks to host Channel Ten‘s The Amazing Race.
Other new additions include Indonesian princess Lindy Klim and her daughter Stella
Australian actress and comedian Steph Tisdell is also set to compete
The veteran presenter, 39, confirmed the news on-air to his co-star Aaron Woods and told him he had gotten a special fill-in presenter to take over his role.
‘I’m jetting off for a bit, taking off to do The Amazing Race,’ Beau told Woodsy, who then asked who would be filling in for him in the interim.
‘Great question. [News reporter] Cat Lynch and I have had a couple of great conversations, we have a great fill-in!’ Beau said.
He added they wouldn’t reveal the presenter’s identity just yet to keep the mystery.
‘He’s good, fun and he actually really loves you Woodsy. It is exciting and he is going to bring plenty of energy,’ he said.
Beau has hosted The Amazing Race Australia since it premiered on Channel Ten in 2019, five years after Channel Seven cancelled the series.
The Amazing Race Australia 2025 will screen on Channel Ten later this year.
